Just to break up the recent influx of new-ish posts, here's an album I'd put in an "all-time best" list; "Abigail", the second studio album from the mighty King Diamond and their first concept album, telling the tale of Miriam Natias and Jonathan La'Fey (the full synopsis can be found elsewhere). This album's also a collection of the greatest known riffs and solos recorded.

Dimaension X - The Doom 2 Variations

One of the newer albums by Dimaension X, who I think releases stuff exclusively online. This one (has you can tell by the title) is the soundtrack to the video game Doom 2 done metal style. Its extremely well done and always a fun listen.
