Darkthrone - A Blaze In The Northern Sky

Last night, a snow storm hit my town and dropped the most snow we've gotten this year. There was snow almost waist high in some spots in my driveway (that was a bitch to shovel, but that's a whole different story), and the wind is howling and its really fucking cold. So lets celebrate the first big snowstorm with some classic cold Darkthrone albums! More specifically, the 3 classic Peaceville releases and the one right after. Perfect for winter.

First up, A Blaze In The Northern Sky, the first of their black metal material and one of 2 albums by them with 4 members (more if you count demos). This was the last album to feature session bassist Dag Nilsen and 2nd to last to feature guitarist Zephyrous (who is also on the cover).

1. Kathaarian Life Code
2. In The Shadow of the Horns
3. Paragon Belial
4. Where Cold Winds Blow
5. A Blaze in the Northern Sky
6. The Pagan Winter
